The following is an official statement from the HPC Executive Board:

As the Hispanic Presidents’ Council, we are dedicated to representing, supporting, and uplifting the Hispanic and Latinx community at Texas A&M University and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to provide a voice, ensuring that our community remains informed, empowered, and united.

In light of recent challenges facing our community due to changes in the current legislation, we reaffirm our commitment to standing in solidarity with those impacted. As an organization dedicated to representing and supporting Hispanic students, we pledge to offer our unwavering support, love, and assistance during these difficult times.

Our primary goal is to foster a safe and inclusive environment where every individual has access to essential resources, including legal assistance, educational opportunities, and community support. We encourage all students to stay informed about their rights and available resources. As an organization that serves as the representation of our entire community, we promote constructive dialogue, mutual respect, and collaboration in our advocacy efforts.

The Hispanic Presidents’ Council remains steadfast in its dedication to advocating for the rights of all Hispanic and Latinx individuals, regardless of status. We recognize that the strength of our community lies in our unity and resilience.

Additionally, as a Recognized Student Organization, we have the right to assemble and associate within the context of local, state, and federal law. This grants us full autonomy in leadership and decision-making, allowing us to represent and advocate for the Hispanic/Latinx community at Texas A&M and beyond.
